Lunch today to make up for my sins

Eggy shrimp and bitter gourd

A relatively carb free meal, it also reminded me of a dish that’s quite popular when I was on holiday in Penang last week.

I’ve been fairly good this week – my only transgressions were the following:

1. I finished someone else’s half-eaten packet of crisps – so really I only ate a small bit of it

2. I had a double gin and tonic when out one evening. I only drank jasmine tea for the rest of that evening though 😇

3. I finished a leftover portion of fried rice that was someone else’s which would’ve gone to waste – so again I only had a small amount

4. I ate a small piece of brigadello – a Brazilian chocolate treat. It was at a party and it would’ve been rude to refuse

5. I had a piece of rice cake at a Korean bbq – it was so delicious – grilled crispness on the outside and soft chewiness in the middle. I only had a small piece and ate mostly salads and grilled meat and shrimp

Exercise-wise, apart from driving in one rainy day I walked to and from work the rest of the week. This morning I walked some 12,891 steps and covered 5.89 miles in the woods at my doorstep
